I feel that the group needs abit more structure and we need to use the time we have together better by practicing the things suggested e.g meditation, yoga, light exercise, laughing therapy, massage etc. I think it would be good if at each meeting everyone could share a positive thing that they’ve achieved since the previous meeting however big or small – ‘little victories’ e.g eating better, being able to walk from A to B, helping someone, cooking, feeling confident. I feel it would really boost morale/the self esteem of everyone, as these little things sound quite basic and achievable to a none sufferer but in fact these daily tasks can actually be daunting and feel impossible when symptoms are at peak.”

“I feel the group is a good idea, it’s good to be surrounded by people who experience similar issues/symptoms and learn new coping mechanisms or hear about potential products/activities or therapies, others have tried that could be beneficial. It’s a good place to be open and lend an ear to others who might not be able to express the pain they suffer everyday as not everyone fully understands the conditions and the implications that comes along with it e.g – leading a normal live, work, relationships etc. The group is not only helpful for those who suffer with the conditions but also for the loved ones/friends who want to get educated in order to help and become a better support system.”
